- I have read a book by this author, Crush on the Shy Guy (A Second Chance Romance) City Girl in a Small Town Clean Romance, and really enjoyed it. When I was given the chance to read another book by the author for an honest review I jumped at the chance. I clearly wasn’t disappointed. This book is again a clean, good read that kept my attention. I love the way the author creates smart working women who don’t just worry about the way they look or going after some guy. You can relate to all the characters in the book and also the description of the scenery was informative. In this book, after being left in Bali by a rich client who suddenly had no desire to be with Alexandra since she wouldn’t give him what he wanted, she is stuck with no money and no way back to the US. Landing at a mission she figured she would work to pay her way back home. While at the mission she learns about the area and how much it fulfilled her to work with the people. Of course, it didn’t help having a good looking pastor at the helm even if he acted as if he didn’t care about Alex. The story is sweet and the characters well written. A good book to read and realize it’s not all bad getting yourself in a bind.
- This was a most enjoyable read. We meet Alex, a NY City girl, who travels on an exciting weekend trip to Bali, with a client, only to be left stranded in a jungle very far from home, all on her own. She is directed to a mission where she can stay until she can obtain a flight home. But Alex is a born organizer and sees that they really need her help there at the Mission. She loves the village and the people there, but the Pastor, Jonathan, at the Mission doesn’t seem to like her or trust her at all. He treats her so badly. Why should she have feelings for him at all?
